Today the school schedules were out. So on the Wylie High homepage every student could see what teachers they have and in what classroom they‘ll be taught. Since the break between the periods are only five minutes and the school is really big, you need to know how to get to your next class as fast as possible. So it‘s quite common for freshmen and new students to visit the school before summer break is over and walk to all of the classrooms. Because Ximena is a freshman and I‘m new too, we went to the school today. There I also met the two exchange students I hadn‘t met before. One of them from Germany and the other one from Spain. They are both a lot younger than me, or at least that‘s what I think judging by their apprearance. The German was really quiet but I liked the Spanish boy better since he was a lot more talkative and went for a hug instead of a handshake. My host parents constantly try to convince me to spend time with the other exchange students but in my point of view that‘s not really a good idea. Although it‘s nice to know them a little, I want to make friends with real Americans from whom I can actually learn English.
After leaving school, we went to eat lunch at an Asian restaurant. The food was quite good, but I still prefer sandwiches, burgers and fries 😉
Back home we watched a few episodes of family guy and then said goodbye to my host father, who‘s going on a business trip until next Saturday. Since my host mom works at a elementery school since last Friday, me and my host siblings were home alone. After my host mom came back home, we drove to the High School once again because Luis and Ximena had band rehersal. So as soon as my host mom and I dropped them off at school, we went to a nail salon. I had never been to one before and so far I think this was the oddest thing in Texas XD. I‘m just not used to Asian people filing my nails and oiling my arm…

It was a nice experience though, because this way me and my host mom could spend some bonding time together. After the nail salon we went to Walmart to get some things we needed.
