Today I slept in because I had been really tired the day before. After getting up, I started to fill out some papers I need for school. A few hours later we went to a Vietnamese restaurant to have lunch with some relatives. They were all really nice. Well, I guess…. I don‘t understand any Spanish. I had yellow curry, which was delicious. But the protion was so big, that I took the rest of it home to reheat it some other time. The drinks there were really good as well.

After returning home, we watched some TV and decorated my room a bit. A few hours later we were already sitting in the car, heading to Dallas, where a rodeo was going to take place. The trip to the rodeo was organized by Karen, who works for EF and is also a teacher at our school. She is responsible for us exchange students.
Soon after arriving at the rodeo, we met the other exchange students. All of them came, except the Italian girl, who instisted that she had to study the whole weekend. For me that‘s crazy, because we have the same class and it‘s not that much that it would take up the whole weekend.
When we got into the building, we first got some snacks and then went to pet the animals.

Afterwards I took some pictures with the other exchange students down in the arena. And we also took some pictures where one of us is holing a sign with the school motto „AMOH“ on it. The reason why we did that, is that if we post this picture on Twitter, our whole grade gets points in this game that our principal set up. We have to spread AHMO to the world and take pictures at different places with the motto and post it. The farther away from the school it is, the more points your grade gets. At the moment my grade, the juniors, are in the lead. And today we got even more points for he juniors 😉
At 7:30 pm, the rodeo actually started. The first part was with horses. They put some itchy belt around the horses hips, so it would buckle and try to get it off. They were surprisingly wild, but most of the cowboys didn‘t fall off until the time was over.

After the riding, they had calves coming out that the cowboys had to lasso and then bind their legs together. I know it didn‘t hurt the animals too much but it just broke my heart how they would tackle those adorable calves 🙁
The most beautiful thing was to see the calves, after being freed, trotting to the exit with their ears bouncing. It‘s kind of relieving to see that they were doing fine and in addition it was the cutest thing ever!
In the end, they did the rodeo with bulls. And oh my…… they were wild. Sometimes after buckling the cowboy off, they chased the other people in the ring that should lead them to the exit. The cowboys got thrown off very quickly and in a huuuuuge bow.
To end the rodeo, they had kids from the audience that would ride a rodeo on sheep. It was so adorable and most of them fell off without the sheep even running. But the crowd loved it and I have to agree that it was adorable.
After the rodeo we went on our way home. Since we all haven‘t had dinner, we stopped at sonic and got a milkshake instead. And just like last time, I couldn‘t finish it, so it will be my breakfast tomorrow 😉
Of course the whole day, I also texted back and forth with my 3 new friends from High School. Although it gets weird sometimes, since both of the guys keep hitting on me….. But I just ignore it and change the topic, haha.
